The Real Deal on Delayed Cord Clamping

Western hospitals typically cut a baby’s umbilical cord immediately
upon birth, thus allowing for the child to be taken away from the
mother — to be cleaned, measured and popped into a warmer.
Studies have shown that delayed cord clamping benefits the baby in
ways that our current system does not take into account.
